Dr. Kaley A. Walker is a Professor of Physics at the University of Toronto and is Deputy Mission Scientist for the Canadian Space Agency’s Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment (ACE) mission on the SCISAT platform. Her research focuses on exploring the composition of the atmosphere using instruments deployed on satellites and balloons and at high Arctic research stations.

Over the past decade, Prof. Walker has taken a lead role in the development of the next generation of Earth observation satellites for Canada through studies and proposals.  She serves on the Mission Advisory Groups for two European Space Agency missions, the Earth Watch mission ALTIUS and the Earth Explorer 11 candidate mission CAIRT. In addition, she is developing new instrumentation for balloon-borne measurements of the atmosphere, through the CSA-funded FAST projects PARABLE and CALASET.  In April 2017, Prof. Walker was appointed to the CSA’s Atmospheric Science Advisory Committee and currently serves as its External Co-chair.
