Sean Mitra
Biography
Sean prides himself on his ability to quickly get to the heart of his client’s needs and develop a unique strategy to achieve their goals. He brings to the table a broad range of legal and industry knowledge and couples it with a talent for breaking down complex legal concepts into plain language. As the co-founder of his own space start-up (ask him about space mining), Sean knows first-hand how important it is to focus legal work on clear business goals.
Sean has worked on all sides of regulatory law – enforcement, compliance, and appeals for issues including merger competitive impact and privacy. The core of his technology law practice is a mixture of intellectual property law and corporate law. Sean’s intellectual property law practice including the review of IP portfolios for areas of risk, drafting of licensing agreements and development of filing strategies. Sean’s experience in corporate and commercial law includes management of corporate governance, complex contract drafting and negotiation (especially software as a service matters), and dispute resolution.
